St Helens set to sign Adam Quinlan

St Helens coach Keiron Cunningham has revealed that his club are in the process of signing Adam Qunilan from the Parramatta Eels.

Quinlan is a 22-year-old full-back, who can also operate at half-back if needed.

“We’re waiting on visas and everything, but we’re lucky enough to get the signature of Adam Quinlan,” Cunningham confirmed to SLTV.

“He’s the back-up full-back at Parramatta.

“We looked at Adam originally when we first had a few injury situations in that department.

“Then Shannon McDonnell became available, so we went with Shannon.

“I think Adam was kicking himself a little bit that he didn’t make the choice to come.

“I spoke to him a few weeks ago when we lost Shannon, and he’s desperate to get over.

“He’s itching to go. He’s an ex-half, so he understands the game. He’s got good awareness for the game.

“He can find a pass really well and he supports like nobody else.

“He’s a real exciting player, so I’m sure he’ll be a Saints favourite.”
