Sold out signs up at Saints

The final regular season league game at Knowsley Road between St Helens and Wigan on Good Friday has sold out.

Saints are due to leave Knowsley Road at the end of the season to move to a planned new stadium on the outskirts of the town.

A St Helens club statement said: “Demand for the tie has been phenomenal with Saints and Wigan fans snapping up tickets well in advance of the hotly anticipated clash.”

Saints’ recent clash with Warrington attracted a sell-out crowd of almost 17,500 in what is likely to be the Wolves final trip to Knowsley Road, although Saints could face either Warrington or Wigan in the latter stages of the Challenge Cup or in the end of season play-offs.

For those not fortunate enough to have tickets, the game is being televised live by SKY Sports.
