Hull FC halfback Marc Sneyd has laid down a warning to the rest of Super League, saying the Airlie Birds have a lot more to give after a dominant performance in round one.

Hull FC impressed in their 42-20 win against Salford. The Black and Whites ran in eight tries against the Red Devils on home turf.

This weekend they travel to France to face Catalans Dragons. Sneyd is not getting carried away with the round one victory, as he believes there is improvement to come from his team.

“It was just the start and performance we wanted although the last 15 wasn’t good,” he admitted.

“The pre-season was a tough one and prepared us as well for the season. It’s very early doors yet though and we still have a lot more to give.”

Catalans are always strong at home and Sneyd is preparing for a physicall challenge.

“It’s always one of the toughest games of the claneder, in France, but we will go there and concentrate on what we do and do our best to minimise their chances,” the playmaker said.

“We are really looking forward to it.”
