Smith linked to Bradford job

Rohan Smith, son of Brian, has been linked to the vacant Braford Bulls head coaching role.

Bradford are on the hunt for a new coach following James Lowes departure.

Bulls chairman Marc Green tweeted today: “Confident will be able to make positive announcement regarding. HC within next 72 – 96 hours”.

Love Rugby League understands Smith has emerged as the front-runner for the position.

Currently an assistant coach with NRL club Gold Coast, the 33-year old Australian is the son of former Bradford coach Brian.

Smith has spent time as the coach of Tonga and served as an assistant with Newcastle, the Roosters, Panthers and the Warriors.

He spent two seasons under Tony Rea at the Harlequins/Broncos. Smith is the nephew of Warrington coach Tony.
