Six players face disciplinary committee

Six players will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday to answer charges brought following incidents in their teams’ Super League Round 24 fixtures.

Bradford Bulls second row Elliott Whitehead has been charged with a Grade E offence for biting a Hull KR player in the 65th minute of Sunday’s 34-8 defeat for the Bulls.

Catalan Dragons player Damien Blanch and Hull FC centre Kirk Yeaman have both been charged with Grade B offences for fighting in the 75th minute of Friday’s 40-8 victory for Hull.

Dragons hooker Ian Henderson has been a charged with a Grade A offence for a dangerous lift on Jordan Turner in the 14th minute. Crusaders prop Gil Dudson has been charged with making Grade B dangerous contact on Harlequins RL captain Rob Purdham in the sixth minute of Friday’s 31-12 victory for the Welsh side.

Castleford Tigers second row Stuart Jones has been charged with making Grade A dangerous contact on Leeds RhinosBrent Webb in the 60th minute of Friday’s 56-0 defeat for the Tigers.

The Match Review Panel also issued formal cautions to the following players:

– Jean Phillipe Baille (Catalan Dragons) – dangerous contact on Hull FC’s Willie Manu in the 78th minute.
Ryan McGoldrick (Castleford Tigers) – striking with forearm on Leeds RhinosKevin Sinfield in 14th minute.
David Faiumu (Huddersfield Giants) – dangerous contact on St HelensPaul Wellens in the 66th minute.

 The cautions will remain on the players’ record and could be considered in the event of future disciplinary breaches.
