Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield will be out for six weeks with a thumb injury, according to the BBC.

Sinfield, 32, dislocated a thumb in England‘s 30-10 win over the Exiles on Friday, and will have an operation on Tuesday.

He was named in the Rhinos 19-man squad for Monday’s game against Widnes, and a decision is still to be made as to whether he will feature in the game.

Sinfield has not missed a Super League game since August 2010.
