Leeds Rhinos skipper Kevin Sinfield today received his MBE medal from the Duchess of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace.

Sinfield is the most successful captain in Leeds’ history, having, in the last 10 years, won six Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges, and one Challenge Cup.

“I would like to accept it on behalf of the club really,” Sinfield told reporters.

“So many people played a part in the success, over the last ten years in particular.

“For me to get recognised is very humbling but like I said I think it represents the club, all the players, our staff and the fans – it’s been a great place to work and play for the last ten years.”
