Sheffield release Daniel Igbinedion

Sheffield have released prop Daniel Igbinedion from his contract by mutual consent.

Igbinedion, 23, has made seven appearances for the Eagles this season having joined from Championship rivals Dewsbury.

A club statement said: “The club would like to thank Daniel for his services and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

The former London Broncos junior made his professional bow for Oxford, playing 21 times in 2016 before catching the eye of Castleford.

Although he didn’t make an appearance for the Tigers, he turned out for Featherstone and Dewsbury in 2017, making 18 Championship appearances.
