Sheens rotates Australia squad for Fiji game

test

Tournament favourites Australia have made seven changes to the side that defeated England in last Saturday’s opening match, with forwards Boyd Cordner and Josh Papalii set to make their Test debuts.

With Greg Inglis moving to full-back, centres Josh Morris and Michael Jennings come in alongside winger Jarryd Hayne and scrum-half Daly Cherry Evans for the fixture with Fiji at Langree Park, St Helens.

As well as Cordner and Papalii, the other change in the pack sees Nate Myles start at loose forward. Paul Gallen, who played at 13 against Engand is still named in the matchday 19, as is Cooper Cronk.

Billy Slater, Brett Morris, Brent Tate, Sam Thaiday and Greg Bird are all completely rested, as head coach Tim Sheens makes full use of his 24-man squad.
