Catalan have today announced that New Zealander Setaimata Sa has signed a new one-dear-deal with the club.

Sa arrived at the Dragons in 200 from Sydney Roosters and has scored 9 tries in 39 appearances. He was also a member of the 2008 New Zealand World Cup winning squad and has been utilised by Trent Robinson this season at center, second row and half back.

Commenting on the new deal, Sa said “I am very happy to stay at the club. The team is getting better week after week under Trent. I want to get silverware this year or next year. All my family is happy to live here and things are always easier when the team is winning.

“All the new players add a lot of quality in our squad and I think the players are much closer from each other this year than in 2010. To have 2 island boys with me is a big help as I am pretty close from Lopini Paea and Daryl Millard.”

Coach Trent Robinson added “Sa is a player which I have valued working with this season and was an important to resigning for 2012. He possesses the rare qualities in the one package of toughness and finesse of which has seen him be a valuable player for the dragons.

“We see him as a young player with the ability to help improve the Catalans again next season through his absolute hunger to compete in training and in the game.”
