Scott O’Brien named NCL player of the year

Leigh Miners Rangers half-back Scott O’Brien has been named as the NCL Player of the Year fro 2015.

The award was presented to the player at the Annual Awards Dinner which was held at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds on Sunday.

Shaun Garrod (Siddal) and Karl Dixon (Wath Brow Hornets) pushed O’Brien close for the top award.

Leigh Miners Rangers enjoyed a good night all round, with departing coaching duo Allan Coleman and Paul Whitworth collecting the Coach of the Year Award.
