Sauiluma set to join Hull Kingston Rovers

Hull Kingston Rovers are on the verge of signing Sami Sauiluma ahead of the new Super League season.

Sauiluma is currently signed to Burleigh Bears after failing to gain a contract with the Gold Coast Titans, after training with the club.

The 24 year-old was named in the NSW Cup Team of the Year for a second consecutive year, but was unable to consistently nail down a place in the NRL for the likes of Cronulla Sharks thus far, and that has allowed the Robins to swoop in.

According to NRL.com, the utility back is keen on a move to KC Lightstream stadium and would bolster Chris Chester’s squad ahead of the new season.

Chester admitted himself to wanting one more player before they come up against Castleford in the opening weekend of Super League, and Sauiluma may fit the bill.

The Hull KR head coach will be hoping his new addition can fit in easily with the squad and help Rovers to turn around their poor pre-season form with defeats to Huddersfield Giants and local rivals Hull FC.
