Salford Red Devils have confirmed that they have rejected a bid from Hull Kingston Rovers for half-back Robert Lui.

The Hull Daily Mail reported this morning that the Robins made the 27-year-old top of their transfer list, but KR could make another offer.

The Red Devils have released a statement on the issue though, claiming that they understand that Hull KR have moved on to secure a half-back elsewhere.

Andrew Rosler, Salford club director, said: “Salford Red Devils now rely completely on support from our community and increased support from our fans and sponsors to enable us maintain and strengthen our squad.

“Rob Lui is a key component of our plans going forward and Rob is very happy at Salford.

“We are looking forward to starting the season next weekend against Wigan in front of a bumper crowd at the AJ Bell.”
