Salford hopeful over new boys arrival

Salford’s new signings Vic Mauro and Liam Foran could arrive in time for Sunday’s televised clash with Hull KR.

The Manly duo were two of the signings announced by Dr Marwan Koukash when his takeover of the club was completed on the eve of the season.

Half-back Foran and back-rower Mauro will be welcome additions to Phil Veivers’ paper-thin squad, that has suffered three heavy defeats at the start of the Super League season.

The Reds are also hopeful that another new signing, Martin Gleeson, could return to make his competitive debut for the club.

Gleeson, 32, starred in a pre-season game against Swinton, but has since been missing with a calf injury.

Salford welcome Hull KR and the SKY TV cameras to the City of Salford Stadium on Sunday, for a 6.15pm kick-off.
