Salford remain rooted to the bottom of the Super League table as Catalans recorded their first win of the season at The Willows.

After a cagey opening, Willie Talau gave the City Reds the lead, before Chris Walker‘s brace of tries edged Catalans in front. Ashley Gibson‘s converted try right on the hooter gave the home side a narrow 12-8 advantage at the break.

Another arm wrestle ensued after half time, but it was the Dragons that drew first blood, with full back Clint Greenshields levelling things up, Greg Mounis slotting over the conversion to edge them in front 14-12.

Seitamata Sa scored on the hour mark, Mounis again adding the extras to give the visitors a two score advantage, and they sealed the win through Sebastien Raguin ten minutes from time.
