Saints Chairman, Eamonn McManus, has expressed his thanks to the fans for their fantastic support in a difficult 2011 season for them and for the Club.
He said: “The loyalty, patience and support of our fans in a season without a home has been great to see. In particular, the turnout and the passion shown by our fans last weekend at Old Trafford was inspirational and it was tragic that, ultimately, it could not be repaid with the Super League trophy.
“Despite the result, however, I’m absolutely thankful to our fans and so proud of our very young team who came so close to unexpected glory. We are presently down, but will never be out. We will keep going back to win it, and that we will – whether it be next season or the next or the next, that must always remain our aim.
“We have put massive effort and faith in our local youth system, of which we are rightfully proud, and this will stand us in good stead for the next decade.
“Next season sees us in a fabulous new home which will be a source of inspiration to the Club and to the town.
“We now have it all to look forward to and it is to the future only that we should all now look, and with real excitement.”
