Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall is targeting another 105 tries taking him to 1000 points for the club.

If Hall achieves the feat he will become only the third non-goal kicker to reach the grand points total.

The 25-year-old has an impressive record scoring 145 tries in 164 appearance for Leeds which leaves him with a points total of 580.

Hall, who is often favourite for first try scorer in rugby betting online, spoke about reaching the 500 point achievement: “It’s going well, I like to average one try a game if I can. It’s going that way at the moment , in the early stages of the year.

“Anything can happen, but it’s always nice to get off on the right foot. I am always chasing the next one, so I’m never that happy when I get one. If you go out chasing them you end up jinxing yourself. I think you just keep playing the best you can and then at the end of your career you look at what you’ve got.”

The winger believe he will only flourish partnered alongside new signing Joel Moon and  added: “I am enjoying my rugby at the moment and I think Joel (Moon) is as well. I think that’s showing on the field.

“He was a quality signing and it’s good it’s going the way it is. We have got off to a good start and hopefully it’ll carry on like that.

“All we need is game time. The longer we get out there, the better we’ll be. We like to keep ourselves grounded. We have to keep working and we are part of a team, don’t forget. We are just there to help the team wins and if the team wins, that’s what matters.”
