Roby set for return

England international hooker James Roby is set to return from injury in St Helens‘ Super League game against Hull on Friday night.

Roby, 27, has been restricted to just 12 appearances this season due to two separate ankle injuries, but has been named in Nathan Brown’s 19 man squad.

His return comes as a timely boost for both Saints coach Brown, ahead of their play-off campaign, and England coach Steve McNamara, ahead of the end of season World Cup.

St Helens travel to Hull on Friday knowing that a win would guarantee them fifth spot in the play-offs, and a home tie the following week.
