Robson commits to Castleford

Castleford have confirmed that Ashley Robson has agreed a new two-year contract extension, keeping him with the club until at least the end of the 2017 season.

The 19-year-old threequarter has made two Super League sppearances this season, scoring the winning try against Salford.

He is delighted to have committed his future to the Tigers.

“I was absolutely buzzing when I found out, I am really happy,” he said.

“There’s a few of us young players here and they just make us feel like one of their own as do the fans and the coaching team.”

Tigers coach Daryl Powell believes that Robson can become a very good Super League player.

“Ash Robson has proved during his time in the first team squad this year that he is going to be an excellent player in the future both at full back and on the wing,” he said.

“His attitude is first class and I am confident he will continue to develop over the next two years. I am delighted he has agreed to sign to continue his development with Castleford Tigers.”
