Danny Richardson undergoes surgery

Castleford half-back Danny Richardson has posted an update on his post-season surgery. The 26-year-old has suffered with several injuries since joining the Mend-A-Hose Jungle side, including against Salford during the 2022 campaign in August.

He signed a new two-year deal with the club last season, with the option of a third.

Catalans Under-19s unbeaten in 40

Catalans Dragons Under-19s have won 40 games in a row, with their winning streak beginning back in November 2019.

During the 2021-2022 season, the side won both the Championship and the Cup with 22 wins. They have won seven so far this season, taking the total tally to 40 straight victories. They face Albi next over the weekend. 

Halifax full-back retires

Halifax have announced that Joe Martin has called time on his career with immediate effect. The 27-year-old full-back returned to the club ahead of the 2022 Championship season after spells with Siddal, Dewsbury and Oldham.

He made his debut for his hometown club, Halifax, back in 2015 in the Qualifiers against Salford.

New Zealand star attracting interest

New Zealand international and Parramatta Eels half-back Dylan Brown is attracting attention from rival clubs for 2024. (World Wide of Sports)

The 22-year-old is off-contract at the end of the 2023 NRL season, with “eight or nine” clubs circling according to the World Wide of Sports.

Former Bradford youngster on the market
