Rankin making Hull full-back spot his own

Jordan Rankin believes that he is settling into the full-back role at Hull FC, and is ready to claim the spot as his own.

Rankin bagged two tries in FC’s Challenge Cup win over Castleford at the weekend, and he is starting to feel comfortable with the combinations in the full-back role now.

“I’m comfortable at full-back and I’m starting to strike up a partnership with the half-backs and the hooker,” he told his club’s official website.

“Hopefully we just keep plugging away at it in training and making sure we put our best foot forward every week and there’s only good things to come from now.

“I think we’ve started to find a bit of form at the moment and we’re starting to face adversity.

“Those moments when the game is on the line are when we’re starting to come out the other end which is what we have the players in the team to do.

“We’ve got some big game players and it’s finally coming together, putting out a score-line like that certainly doesn’t hurt our chances for the rest of the year to come.”
