Radford happy with Hull’s options

Lee Radford believes Hull FC’s strength in depth will help the club cope with the absence of some key players against Salford on Friday.

Albert Kelly and Danny Houghton will both miss the clash with the Red Devils, but Radford is likely to have plenty of alternatives to choose from.

“I’m hoping we’ll have one of Fetuli (Talanoa) or Carlos (Tuimavave) back this week, but what we have got is options which is good,” Radford told the Hull Daily Mail.

“Jake (Connor) can jump into the halves or at full-back or the backline and that really helps us out and allows us some flexibility.

“We are quite well stacked in the backline this season. You only have to look at the fact Steve Michaels had to wait for his chance. That says a lot that a player of Steve’s quality wasn’t playing.

“We can move a few people around and put Mahe Fonua in at centre or on the wing and the same with Steve, plus with possibly Fetuli or Carlos back too, I’m happy with the options we’ve got.”
