Jason Mossop and Michael Haley could both return for the Eagles as they hunt their first Co-operative Championship victory of the season.

Sheffield lost 44-30 against Widnes last week but coach Mark Aston said: “We showed that we can beat these teams. We’re in there and competing and we’re good enough to be winning those games.

“We’re a little bit disappointed. It was the first time in 12 months that we hadn’t got a bonus point, but I’m not bothered about bonus points anymore. I want all three.”

Lee Lingard comes into contention for the Rams but Rob Spicer and Alex Bretherton are likely to remain sidelined for another fortnight.

Dewsbury coach Warren Jowitt has called for a major improvement on last week’s 40-10 defeat against Featherstone.

He said: “We gifted Featherstone the game in the first 20 minutes and it’s not acceptable. You can’t do that at this level.

“We’ve got to fix things up. We’ll go through the video and rectify our faults. When we decide to turn up and the players do what’s asked of them, then we’ll be OK.

“The players have got to pick themselves up. We’ve got to get on with it and get ourselves ready for Sheffield.”
