Preview: Keighley v South Wales

Keighley CougarsCraig Moss is doubtful with a hip problem after colliding with the goalposts while scoring a try against Workington on Monday.

But Jason Demetriou‘s options are boosted by the possible returns of James Haythornthwaite and Brendan Rawlins for Sunday’s Co-operative Championship One clash with South Wales Scorpions.

Demetriou said: “The pleasing thing is that we seem to be improving every week.

“The players are never happy. Every week we watch and analyse our performance, and look for things we can improve.”

He added: “I’ve watched a couple of DVDs and South Wales attack quite well. They’ve been scoring points, but we set ourselves a target of winning three games and this is the third one. We want to achieve our goal.”

Scorpions’ director of rugby Mark Rowley admits his side will probably feature “one or two” changes for the trip to Cougar Park.

He said: “We’ll wait until the final training session on Saturday to decide who’s travelling and who isn’t. It’s that tough a call.”

He added: “It will be a tough game for us as Keighley are a very good side and must be one of the favourites to go up this season.”
