Doncaster RLFC prop Jamie Bovill should be fit to face Workington Town on Sunday, despite suffering a cut lip against London Skolars.

Matt Tunstall could feature for Workington, but Elliott Miller faces a scan on a shoulder injury that will keep him out of Sunday’s clash.

Joint Town coach Gary Charlton explained: “Elliott had a problem with his ankle, but he did his shoulder against Rochdale a couple of weeks ago. He didn’t think much of it at first, but it hasn’t gone away and it’s not responding to treatment.”

However, Charlton’s options are boosted by the return of Darren King. “We’re starting to look pretty strong at the moment,” said Charlton.

Workington emerged 31-12 victors from last week’s clash with Oldham Roughyeds, and Charlton was left encouraged by what he saw.

“We played very, very well,” he said. “We took our chances, played some good rugby and defended well.

“The boys took on board what went wrong against Swinton Lions, and they put those things right.

“However, Doncaster have started the season well and they gave us a bit of a touch up the last time we went to the Keepmoat.”
