Castleford coach Daryl Powell has hailed the abilities of his Hull KR counterpart Chris Chester, ahead of the two teams clashing in Super League on Saturday evening.

Rovers have been in good form in recent weeks, and recorded two good wins over Easter, against Hull FC and Huddersfield.

Hull KR have won three straight now and are playing with a fair bit of width,” Powell told the Castleford & Pontefract Express.

“They’ve got a couple of smart half-backs and it’s going to be a challenge for us again.

“They’ve got 12 or 13 new players, which is a hell of a lot, and it’s testimony to Chris Chester that he’s pulled them together so quickly.

“They look a good side, they’ve got a lot of ability. Their half-backs are both different, they’ve got Terry Campese, who’s really controlling and influences the way that they go then Albert Kelly, who’s a bit of a crackerjack, a box of tricks, a good player who’s very quick.

“Dixon at the back is looking electric and is very quick on the end of plays. They’ve got Lunt now at hooker and have a lot of quality players in there.

They’ve challenged everybody they’ve played against.

“We’ve just got to look after our boys this week and they need to look after themselves then rock up on Saturday and do a job against a team that’s going really well.”
