Canberra player Michael Picker will face charges of drink driving in court next month after he was involved in a car accident.

Picker was unhurt in the single vehicle accident in Gunning on Saturday night but was charged by police with driving under the influence.

He will face court on October 5.

Raiders CEO Don Furner said the Raiders were relieved that Michael had not been injured or that no one else was hurt in the accident.

“Thankfully Michael has not been seriously hurt in this accident and importantly no one else has been hurt either,” Furner said. “The Raiders will allow the court process to run its course before we decide on any further action.”

The club declined any futher comment.
