Phillips hit with Grade B charge

South Wales Scorpions player Barrie Phillips faces two charges of making Grade D dangerous contact with an opponent, the RFL have confirmed.

The two incidents occurred in his team’s game with Gateshead Thunder on Saunday August 17.

The RFL has also issued formal cautions to three other players: Dean Hadley of Hull FC, for a dangerous throw on Brett Kearney of Bradford Bulls; Jay Pitts of Bradford Bulls for a dangerous throw on Tom Lineham of Hull FC; and Ash Lindsay of Keighley Cougars for dangerous contact v North Wales Crusaders.
