Peter Gentle predicts England win

Hull FC coach Peter Gentle is tipping England to come out on top when the International Origin series gets underway at Langtree Park.

The game on Saturday is one of two in the series between Steve McNamara’s England and the Exiles who are coached by former St Helens boss Daniel Anderson.

The first time the sides played one another, it was a surprise victory for the Exiles at Headingley 16-12.

Despite Hull FC’s Willie Manu being set to run out for the game, Gentle still puts England on as the favourites.

He said, “I think they’ve done enough good work and Steve McNamara has done a pretty fair job with them in terms of the squad he has named and how they’ve come together.

“Both teams have some talented players in their ranks, but I’m tipping England for a narrow win.”

The second encounter will be contested on the 4th July at Huddersfield Galpharm Stadium.
