Papalii could miss Origin II

A lack of discipline could cost Josh Papalii the chance to make his Queensland debut on June 26.

Papalii, 21, was placed on report during Canberra Raiders 30-18 win over Brisbane Broncos earlier today. With only 7 seconds remaining the New Zealand-born forward was booked for a lifting tackle on Josh Hoffman.

After the Maroons’ loss in the series opener, Papalii looked likely to be introduced to the Queensland pack for the win or die game at the Suncorp Stadium.

Instead he will now have a nervy wait to find out the extent of his punishment.
