Premier Sports Championship One Player of the Week – Lewis Palfrey (Oldham)

Oldham captain Lewis Palfrey earned the praise of Roughyeds coach Scott Naylor after an outstanding display at Hemel.

Palfrey was superb at stand-off in Oldham’s 30-12 win. Naylor said: “Lewis played with a lot of freedom, looked very relaxed and played with a smile on his face.

“When he plays with confidence his natural ability comes out, which he’s got in bucket-loads. He’s an excellent player and he’s still got a lot more to give as well.

“Giving him the captaincy put some pressure on him, but he’s handing it, getting used to it and really performing well.”
