Palfrey leaves Haven for Batley

Whitehaven half back Lewis Palfrey has left the West Cumbrian outfit to sign for Championship contenders Batley Bulldogs.

The former Salford Academy product joined Haven for the start of the 2011 campaign and notched up 5 tries and 64 goals this season.

Palfrey will join up with fellow new signing Ben Black at Mount Pleasant where they hope they can form a formidable half back partnership.
