Oldham unconcerned by winding up petition

Oldham say that a winding up petition lodged against them will be removed.

Their case was due to be heard at a High Court hearing on November 27 regarding a debt to HMRC.

A club spokesman said: “The club is aware of this.

“It relates to the balance of an estimated amount for which the actual debt had already been paid.

“We are in dialogue with HMRC to have the petition removed.”

Oldham Rugby League Football Club (1997) Limited has previously had four winding up petitions dismissed, the latest being in November 2014.

On the field, the club was relegated from the Championship last season.
