Oldham lose Boults to injury

Oldham’s push for promotion will to continue without Jason Boults for at least the next month.

Boults, 29, broke a finger in training and has been told it will be four to six weeks before he can play again.

At best, that will put him out of the club’s next three games but he Oldham fans could see him back on the last Sunday in July for the top of the table clash with North Wales Crusaders.

Boults said, “My only target right now is to get back as quickly as possible.”

The long-serving Roughyeds prop returned from his latest visit to a fracture clinic in Halifax with the finger in a splint and the good news is that there appears to be only one break, not two as first thought.
