Nuuausala: Wigan can peak at the right time

Wigan prop Frank-Paul Nuuausala says he is settling into life in Super League and believes the Warriors can peak at the business end of the season.

Nuuausala joined Wigan at the end of June.

“I think we’ll be there or thereabouts when we have a full team,” he told the club website.

“We’ve played much of this year without key players and have been doing pretty good so that’s full credit to our system, imagine if we would had our full team!

“The next few weeks we’ll hopefully have Clubby and our captain back and that’s nearly our best team.

“That’s a big boost so now it’s all about gelling and playing together as one and getting used to each other.

“We respect all of the other teams but I think if we have a full team and play the way we can then we can win it.”

The Kiwi prop has been in the UK for six weeks and feels he is coming terms with things on and off the field.

“I feel like each week I’m getting better and finding my groove and getting used to the system and to Super League because it’s a bit different compared to back home,” he admitted.

“Everything is becoming a bit more natural. I think I’m finding my feet here and finding my way around Wigan.

“The weather has been awesome of late, the boys complain that it’s too hot but I think it’s just right.

“My wife and my baby are here in England so it’s good to have them here.

“I had two and a bit weeks without them so that was pretty tough but it’s great to have them here now and it makes it a bit more of a home.”
