Sydney Roosters and Melbourne Storm have reached the 2018 Grand Final.

A man of the match performance from Billy Slater helped Melbourne Storm ease past Cronulla Sharks 22-6 to progress to the NRL Grand Final.

Former Australia and Queensland representative Slater scored two tries but he could well be banned for the final after being charged with a shoulder charged. Brodie Croft scored Storm’s other try, while Cameron Smith kicked five goals from as many attempts.

Sydney Roosters reached the Grand Final after being rivals South Sydney Rabbitohs 12-4 in front of a crowd of 44,380.

Tonga star Daniel Tupou, Australia winger Blake Ferguson and Paul Momirovski scored to clinch the victory for the Roosters. Cooper Cronk picked up an injury in the game though and he is doubtful for the Grand Final.

The 2018 NRL Grand Final takes place on Sunday, September 30 (10:30am UK time).
