NRC matches re-arranged

Four of the Northern Rail Cup matches postponed at the weekend have been re-arranged.

York v Swinton was the first victim of the weather, and that game will now be played on Thursday 23rd February (20:00).

Gateshead v Doncaster, Oldham v Featherstone (both 20:00) and Hunslet v Whitehaven (19:30) will all try again on Wednesday 15th February.

Only four Northern Rail Cup games survived the weather at the weekend, while the Super League clash between Catalan and Hull also fell victim to frost.

In the games that did go ahead, Batley came from behind to defeat Keighley 22-16 while holders Leigh comfortably beat Barrow 48-16.

Karl Harrison’s Halifax were impressive in a 36-6 win at Dewsbury, while Championship 1 side Workington made it hard for Sheffield, before the Eagles prevailed 28-14 to deny Town a bonus point.
