North Derbyshire youngsters Charge to victory in Yorkshire

After the disappointment of a hard fought draw away to Shaw Cross last week, the North Derbyshire Chargers Under-12s were on the road again this time visiting the Dearne Valley Bulldogs.

The intent from the Chargers was clear from the off with a superb tackle from Riley which set the pattern of the game ahead with the pressure soon being converted into the Chargers’ first try of the game.

More points followed for the Chargers before the Bulldogs pulled one back to narrow the lead.

The try could have sent the game either way but seemed to set the chargers in motion again at which point they didn’t look back.

The score board was kept ticking over and soon the chargers had their highest score tally of the season, the game finishing 50-6.

Seven tries for the ever impressing Deivids Hagurs (who breaks Sheffield Eagle Leigh Sanders’s previous club record of six in one game), and one try each for Ethan Flint, Ethan Bradshaw and George Hill, rounded up a great performance for the team who improved markedly on last week.

There are special mentions for Ethan Flint, Farren Walters, Alex McNeill and Riley Chapman with more improved performances for George Hill and Jay Jessop.
