Young Wigan full-back Jack Murphy has joined Salford on a one-month loan deal.
Murphy, 20, could make his Reds debut against his parent club when they meet in their Super League opener on Friday.
Salford’s takeover by Dr Marwan Koukash is set to be confirmed later this week, which will enable the Reds to start adding to their squad which has been depleted by player exits over a troubled close season.
Murphy said: “This is a good chance for me to get some first team games under my belt. I am looking forward to meeting the Salford boys and competing for a place in the side.”
Murphy made his Wigan debut against Bradford last June, and also featured in the Super League play-off defeat against Leeds.
