Bradford Bulls half-back Jake Mullaney is getting ready to ride the wave of excitement that is set to hit the club once the Super Eights section of the season gets underway.

The former NRL man has struggled with injury this season, but made a try-scoring return to action at the weekend in the win over Hunslet.

Now he wants to play a full part as the Bulls push for promotion when the leagues split in three games’ time.

“We have a bulk of key players who are coming back to full fitness and the timing could not be better really,” Mullaney told his club’s official website.

“Come round one of the Super 8s, we just have to ensure we are playing our best rugby – with the strongest-possible side available.

“As I said, if things go our way, and we are performing, very little will prevent us from returning to Super League.”
