Morley and Monaghan ready for Wigan

test

Warrington head coach Tony Smith says that Adrian Morley and Michael Monaghan will be fit for Monday’s clash with Wigan.

The Wolves teammates were meant to line-up against each other in last week’s International Origin match, but both had to pull-out due to injury.

Morley, 36, suffered a groin strain and missed the whole week of England training, although he did remain in the camp to help Steve McNamara prepare the side.

Smith said, “Moz was probably fit enough by Friday but due to him not training he wasn’t selected. I did receive some feedback that he still managed to make a big contribution within the camp though, which is fantastic.”

Monaghan, 33, left the Exiles squad due to his knee not recovering fast enough from the weekend before.

“Michael’s maintenance on his knee is very important and the hard pitch away at London meant that the Exiles game wasn’t possible.”

Both players are back in training and thankfully for Smith there are no fresh concerns.
