Morgan to leave Rovers

Justin Morgan will leave Hull KR at the end of the year, the club have confirmed.

Morgan will have spent six seasons at Craven Park after joining the club from Toulouse in 2005. He caught the eye of Rovers’ directors in 2005 after guiding the French side to a place in the Challenge Cup semi final.

He led Rovers to promotion a year later, defeating Widnes in the 2006 National League One grand final after reaching his second successive Challenge Cup semi final with a club outside of Super League.

In a statement, Morgan said: “The club has given me a great opportunity and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I have been afforded to explore other options. I have worked with some great players and staff during my time at Craven Park and I would like to thank them for a wonderful experience.”

It is highly believed Morgan will replace the departing Terry Matterson at Castleford. John Kear is in the frame to take over Morgan at KR.
