Castleford forward Junior Moors has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the Tigers until the end of 2020.

Moors, 31, was already under contract for 2018 and 2019 but has now had another year added to his deal.

Coach Daryl Powell told the club’s official website: “Junior Moors is a high quality player who has continued to get better during his time at the club. His ability as a ball player in the middle of the field is outstanding as is his ball carrying strength,

“The fact that our best players continue to extend their contracts is a huge complement to the club and it’s direction at the moment. Junior’s extension shows this again and I am so pleased I will be able to work with him on a continued basis.”

The former Samoa international joined Castleford at the beginning of 2015 having previously been with Melbourne Storm, Wests Tigers and Penrith Panthers in the NRL.

He was named Fans Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year and Player of the Year by Castleford last season, but has missed the last eight weeks with a medial ligament injury.
