Minichiello hails Houghton

Hull FC back rower Mark Minichiello believes that Danny Houghton is the best dummy half with whom he has ever played.

Houghton capped a fine season by being named as the Super League Steve Prescott Man of Steel for 2016 on Monday evening.

“He’s an unbelievable player,” Minichiello told Love Rugby League.

“He’s a player that  I didn’t know much about when I came to Hull, but I certainly know a lot about him now!

“He’s the best hooker I’ve ever played with.

“I’ve got all the admiration for him and what he does, week-in, week-out, 80 minutes every single week.

“He’s a tough kid and I love playing with him.”
