Melbourne Storm full-back Ryan Papenhuyzen has provided an injury update for fans on social media.

Papenhuyzen, 23, was one of the in-form players of the 2021 NRL season, but injuries have forced him to spend a number of weeks on the sidelines.

Most recently, he suffered a concussion during Magic Round after a high shot from Tyrell Fuimaono, which ruled him out of State of Origin Game I.
“Have had quite a few people asking how I’m doing, how long until I’m back etc – so I thought it might be easier just to write something up on this,” he wrote.

“Although I’d love to give everyone an accurate update of when I’m back playing, this is just one of those injuries where I am not able to do that…as it’s more progression based and changes each day.

“The club has been great, treating this with caution and going above and beyond to provide the best treatment and information for me.”
