McNally made up with promotion

Fullback Gregg McNally says Leigh’s promotion is “a bit surreal” and that the team is very proud of securing a spot in Super League next year.

Leigh remain unbeaten in the Middle 8s after a fantastic run of games. They face Leeds tonight.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet if I’m honest, it’s all a bit surreal,” McNally told Love Rugby League.

“It’s a fantastic achievement and great to have Leigh back in Super League after all the hard work numerous people have put in over the years.

“It was a very emotional day for everyone [the Huddersfield game], everyone wanted the goal of Super League that’s why we all signed at this club and to make it happen is fantastic.

McNally, who joined Leigh in 2012 from Barrow, said he can’t wait for 2017.

“We’re incredibly proud from what we’ve all achieved,” he said.

“From where we were when i first signed to where we are now is incredible.

“I’ve loved every minute of being at this club from day one, it’s like a second home to me and can’t wait for next year already.”
