Wigan hooker Michael McIlorum has been suspended for three matches for a reckless high tackle in the defeat to Castleford on Sunday.

McIlorum, 26, broke Kirk Dixon‘s jaw in the tackle, and was found guilty of a Grade C offence, and fined £300.

He will now miss Wigan’s games against Hull KR, Warrington and Catalan.

Castleford winger Justin Carney was fined £300 and warned about his future conduct after pleading guilty to a Grade A punching offence on John Bateman.
