Hull utility back Ryan McGoldrick has been ruled for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

McGoldrick, 31, chipped a bone in his shoulder during the 70-6 win at Bradford on Saturday, and underwent surgery earlier this week which will keep him sidelined until December.

The Australian, who joined the Airlie Birds from Castleford in July, has scored one try in eight appearances for Hull.

He previously played in the NRL with Cronulla, and had a brief stint in rugby union with New South Wales Waratahs in 2003.
