Leeds head coach Brian McDermott has joined an illustrious group of rugby league coaches, by coaching his 100th career league win with the Rhinos.

He is the first Leeds coach since Sid Hynes in 1981 to win 100 league matches with the club.

He joins Brian Noble (142), Shaun McRae (135) and Tony Smith (194) in having won over 100 league games during the Super League era.

Hynes won 102 games during his spell as player/coach and coach of Leeds, and only Roy Francis has won more games as Leeds coach than Hynes and McDermott.

McDermott joined the Rhinos as head coach ahead of the 2011 season, and has become the most successful coach in the club’s history.

He has three Grand Final wins, two Challenge Cup victories, a World Club Challenge and a League Leaders Shield to his credit as head coach.
