Matt Sarsfield leaves Swinton Lions

Swinton Lions have announced that second-rower Matt Sarsfield has left the club by mutual consent.

Stuart Littler’s side are currently bottom of the Betfred table, still searching for their first win of the season, and have announced Sarsfield will leave the club effective immediately.

The number 12 joined Swinton at the start of the 2016 season and has made eight appearances for the side in 2018.

Sarsfield has also played for Salford Red Devils, Dewsbury and Halifax.

The club wrote on their official website: ‘The club wishes Matt the of luck in his next career move.’
